What is Syd’s Wish?
Syd always said “No one should fight alone, especially a child!”
Sydney Hedges, at the age of seventeen, was wise beyond her years and even though every day was a struggle for her she would always say "we need to find the good in this day." She made it her life mission to help others in need and worked tirelessly to help anyone she could. When she was nearing the end of her life she asked us all to not be sad for her but to help others when she was gone. It has been an incredibly hard journey with the loss of our beautiful Syd, however we will make it our life goal to live out Syd’s Wish. Our goal is to continue to honor Syd’s Wish by helping to raise money for other children and their families that are experiencing life-threatening illnesses. We will never fully overcome the loss of our sweet girl, but we will do our very best to honor her memory every day. If you know a child in need please contact Angie Hedges at 406-690-3079.

Cindy Black Hatten
Retired school teacher who started the H. O. P. E. Program at Frank Brattin Middle School. Syd was a member of our group. The group has earned money for Brent’s House for children at the Denver Children’s Hospital. The group also organized the annual Run for HOPE which donates to childhood cancer.
Kinslee Hage:
I met the Hedges family when they moved to Colstrip and was with Syd through every step. I am currently a civil engineer working in Billings and try my best to honor her memory in everything I do.
Kirstina & Patrick Hedges
Patrick and I are Sydney’s Aunt and Uncle. We loved watching her grow into a beautiful young lady! She was truly an amazing person that we now try to emulate in our own lives. She has taught us so much and we try to find the good in everyday.
